Shawn Fields, Founder & President
Getsigned.com, Inc. was created in 1996 by musician and entrepreneur Shawn Fields to be a place where aspiring
artists of all kinds could find, in one convenient location, all the necessary tools needed for
musical success.
Under Mr. Fields' leadership, Getsigned.com has grown
from a modest "Unsigned Band" spotlight webpage in
January 1996 to becoming one of the most talked about, respected and
recognized online music retailers on the internet today.
In addition to Getsigned.com, Inc., Mr. Fields has
founded a number of successful companies including New Media Interactiv, a marketing and image management
firm whose clients have included Everclear, The Smashing Pumpkins, Cheap Trick and
Silent Partner Management, Inc. (Blues Traveler, H.O.R.D.E.). The NMI-produced cheaptrick.com V.2
website was chosen by YAHOO! Internet Life Magazine (April 1999) as one of the top 5 music websites of the
new millennium (along with David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, Prince & KISS) and received numerous awards for
its design, concept and ease-of-use. Also in 1999, the NMI-designed Smashing Pumpkins website was
nominated for "Best Artist Website" at the 1999 MTV Music Video Awards in New York.
Mr. Fields has been a
performing and recording artist for over fifteen years.
